China resumes international travel: Which countries are introducing new COVID restrictions?
Countries are imposing new COVID-19 measures on travellers coming from China as international travel resumes.
Japan, India, Malaysia, Taiwan and the USA have announced stepped up rules on travellers from China in response to rising cases.
Japan says it will require a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival for travellers from China, with those testing positive having to undergo a week in quarantine. Tokyo also plans to limit airlines increasing flights to China.

Airlines issue travel waivers ahead of winter ‘bomb cyclone’
US airlines have issued travel waivers ahead of what’s forecast to be a brutal “bomb cyclone” of wintry weather in the Midwest and other regions later this week.
The important aviation hub of Chicago is forecast to be one of the cities hit the hardest, with the National Weather Service warning of the potential for a blizzard.
Many airlines are allowing limited, no-charge itinerary changes related to the expected storms.

London’s Heathrow Airport faces ‘major disruption’ as ground handlers prepare to strike
London’s Heathrow Airport is facing “major disruption” as 350 ground handlers are set to begin a three-day strike over pay on Friday, the Unite union said Thursday.
The 350 union members, who Unite said were employed by aviation firm Menzies, will begin a 72-hour strike at 4.00 a.m. local time on November 18, according to a press release.
The press release said the strike at Britain’s busiest airport would “lead to disruption, delays and cancellation for flights leaving Heathrow Terminals 2, 3 and 4.”

MSC Cruises Plans Fourth U.S. Homeport in Texas
MSC Cruises plans to introduce a new homeport in Texas, the company’s fourth in the United States.
The cruise line has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the Port of Galveston that outlines a potential agreement to develop a terminal, according to MSC. The new port would be located at piers 16 to 18.

Last Monday, the Spanish high-speed AVE trains inaugurated a new route connecting Madrid, the capital, to the beautiful city of Murcia in southeastern Spain.
According to the information shared, the opening of the Murcia station represents the end of a project that started in 2003, and more connections are expected in the following years. Starting on Tuesday, passengers will be able to travel between Madrid and Murcia in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
