All inclusive holidays offer a fantastic way to enjoy a well-deserved escape without breaking the bank. Choose the right destination and you could save a significant amount of money on expenses like food and activities compared with arranging all of the components of your trip separately.
Read on for some information about five ideal destinations to consider if you’re looking to book a cheap all inclusive holiday deal.
Lanzarote
One of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is the perfect place to head to on a package break if you intend to indulge in lots of water sports and have a penchant for stunning scenery. The destination boasts some of the best water-based activities in the archipelago, while its volcanic landscape means you can be exploring a cave formed by lava flows one day and marvelling at the sight of a black sand beach the next.
Popular resorts for all-inclusive holidays here range from the lively Puerto de Carmen – which is ideal if you like the idea of having plenty of entertainment and nightlife on your doorstep – to the quieter Playa de los Pocillos.
Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
While Egypt has plenty of fantastic destinations, Sharm El Sheikh stands out from the rest for its irresistible combination of sun, sea, sand and culture. Located on the Sinai Peninsula by the Red Sea, Sharm El Sheikh boasts temperatures of up to 35 degrees C in the summer and 25 degrees C in the winter, making it an excellent year-round destination.
As well as lounging on the amazingly sandy beaches, you’ll have the opportunity to go on a quad bike, jeep or even camel tour of the local attractions, which include the Coloured Canyon, the Sinai Mountains and St Catherine’s Monastery. If you’re a keen diver, you’ll relish the chance to explore the beautiful marine reserve.
Tenerife
Tenerife is the most popular of the Canary Islands for all inclusive holidaymakers in search of warm weather and great beaches – and with good reason. As well as sun and sand, the destination harbours two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Spain’s highest mountain (Mount Teide), 42 protected natural areas and a national park, offering lots to see and do for anyone with an interest in history, hiking or nature.
The northern part of the island is best for a nature-themed break, with resorts here including the laidback Puerto de la Cruz. The most popular destinations in the south are Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje.
Antalya, Turkey
Like Egypt, Turkey boasts a huge variety of holiday destinations, including those along the Aegean and Turquoise coastlines. However, it is probably the country’s Mediterranean coast – encompassing the region of Antalya – that is the most popular and offers the best value for anyone booking all inclusive holidays.
Receiving over 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, Antalya has an array of beach resorts to choose from, with options ranging from party destinations to quieter locations with a more traditional feel. If your hotel offers water sports as part of your deal, be sure to take advantage of this, as the favourable winds in Antalya mean pursuits like sailing and windsurfing are particularly good.
Majorca
The biggest of the Balearic Islands, Majorca (also known as Mallorca) offers a wealth of things to see and do in the Mediterranean sunshine. While it’s perhaps most popular for its huge range of beaches, the destination is also ideal for soaking up some culture and history, as well as spotting wildlife and hiking in the beautiful countryside.
The northern part of Majorca is best for a quiet all inclusive holiday in natural surroundings, while Palma Nova and Magaluf on the south-eastern coast are more suitable if you’re in search of lots of entertainment.
