You can find the camp Lanterna between Novigrad and Poreč. It is one of the largest camps (10,000 people) in Croatia, which is also one of the best organized camps. This camp belongs in the category of the best European camps – Leading Campings of Europe and the ADAC Superplatz award. Camp Lanterna won 1st place in the category of larger campsites in Istria by the choice of Naj kamp Adria 2017.
You can sleep in the camp with your tent or you can stay in one of the glamping tents which can accommodate up to 6 people. These glamping tents can be found in a quiet location in the immediate vicinity of the sea and pebble beaches. Tents are also equipped with a small swimming pool and a terrace for sunbathing. Each glamping tent has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two bunk beds), a fully equipped kitchen with a living room and an outdoor terrace. The tent also has its own bathroom. If you have pets, no problem – you can take them with you since Camp Lanterna is pet friendly!
Camp Valkanela
This is another place for camping in Croatia that all sea lovers will enjoy staying in. Camp Valkanela lies in a beautiful bay between Vrsar and Funtana city. It is an ideal place for family holidays, as well as for sport and recreation lovers, and entertainment enthusiasts. You can camp there on regulated plots or in modern mobile homes if you wish to. The camp is getting bigger and provides more and more possibilities and services so your camping needs will be met.
The camp has modern sanitary facilities, which are also adapted for kids and people with disabilities. If you have a dog with you, they can enjoy a nice dog shower in the shower place designed especially for animals. In this camp you can visit their shops, a fish market, buy beach accessories, and eat in restaurants near the beach. The camp has thought about medical assistance as well, so you can get help in the camp’s clinic in case you or your kids hurt yourselves.

The camp lies along the Mrežnica River near Duga Resa, about 60 kilometers from Zagreb. Mrežnica is considered one of the most beautiful and cleanest Croatian rivers so you have one more reason to consider this camp for your staying.
If you will give a chance to this camp you be able to choose between wooden tents, mobile homes or camping in the campsite with a tent or RV. It is a smaller camp that can accommodate around 300 people but has received many awards for the quality so don’t hesitate to spend a quiet time outdoors here.
Camp Turist
Camping in the Turist camp will make you forget the stress and obligations of everyday life for sure. It is located 10 kilometers from Plitvice Lakes National Park, on the main road to Dalmatia. This road is one of the most important roads that links Central Europe and the Adriatic Sea.
This year the camp is celebrating 50 years of operating. It is a smaller camp which can accommodate 200 guests. If you will visit Zagreb, you will have only a half an hour drive to this eco camp. You can enjoy various activities, including canoeing along the Mrežnica river, rafting and archery. Try the campsite restaurant which offers traditional specialties in combination with modern Croatian cuisine. They organize excursions to the farm of horses, the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Barac’s Caves, and the Rastoke eco-ethno village.

Camp Srce Prirode (Heart of Nature)
This is a continental camp, which can be found in pristine nature, 350 meters above sea level. It is located only 17 km from the export of the Zagreb-Rijeka highway and 30 km from the Karlovac town. Camp Srce Prirode is an integral part of the homonymous rural tourism.
There are 30 plots equipped with water and electricity. The campsite has 3 holiday houses with double and triple rooms in traditional style for you to try. As their guest you can use the outdoor swimming pool with warm water, cook on the outdoor grill, use free WI-FI, bowl, play table tennis, pool, and mini-football. If you like to buy souvenirs for your collection, you can do it in the camp shop. If you like to eat good food and spend free time in nature, visit this camp where you will be occupied through the whole day.
Camping with a Smile on your Face
These camping places in Croatia should make your vacation happy and satisfied. The first two camps that I presented are coast camps which means that you will be able to enjoy the fresh air from the sea. Camps Lanterna and Valkanela will satisfy campers who love the sea and its treasures. The other three camps can be found on the continental Croatian ground which have more greenery than the first two camps. Each of these camps has a special offer for the campers to enjoy.
